Big Brother Naija Lockdown housemate, Katrina Jones better known as Ka3na has revealed her plight as a single mother.
The reality star disclosed the challenges she recently faced while taking care of her sick daughter alone in the hospital.
In a post on her Instagram page, she revealed that March brought a plethora of temptations but God stood by her side. She revealed that the most challenging part was being in the hospital alone with her baby. Ka3na, who lost the father of her child last year, stated that single motherhood is a test even for the strongest.
In celebration of Women’s Day, she dedicated her post to mothers, who are thriving through the tough times that are unspoken.
“March brought with it a plethora of temptations, but God stood by our side ❤️🩹 The most challenging part was being in the hospital alone with my baby… single motherhood is a test even for the strongest. I want to celebrate every mother who is thriving through the tough times that often go unspoken. Happy International Women’s Day to all of us, the true boss queens!”.
Recall that in May 2023, Ka3na lost her white husband, Mr Jones. The news was made public when clips released online captured the mother of one breaking down while biding her husband farewell.
The reality star and entrepreneur later released an official statement on her Instagram page, where she stated that his death had left her daughter fatherless and her a widow.
However, before Mr Jones’ death, Ka3na had announced their divorce days after their wedding anniversary.
Ka3na isn’t the only one struggling with being a single mother.
Weeks back, Sophia Momodu, the first babymama of music star, Davido had recounted the night her mentality changed as a single parent.
Taking to her Snapchat account, where she is more active, she revealed that it makes it one year since her whole world felt like it was crumbling around me, as she disclosed that Imade was so sick, that she had to rush her to the hospital at 1 am.
In her panic state, she called all her friends and loved ones and surprisingly, they showed up for her. This made her realize how powerful her support system was and changed her mentality as a single parent forever.
Similarly, while celebrating 2023 Mother’s Day, Biodun spoke out about the frustration of being a single mother.
The Yoruba movie star admitted that she had lost her cool on her children in the past and said unprintable words out of frustration. However, she was grateful for God’s mercy as she doesn’t look like what she has passed through.
