Nigerian singer, Kingsley Okonkwo better known as professionally as KCee has narrated how his former label artiste, Harrysong allegedly forged his signature.
In an interview with Beat 99.9 FM, he revealed that when he won Star Quest, Harrysong was still in the village, fishing with his grandmother.
Though he wasn’t trying to be him, he found it disappointing that Harrysong tried discrediting him by claiming he wrote all his songs, as he noted how he was already a superstar before he signed Harrysong.
Kcee alleged that Harrysong forged his and his brother’s signatures to scam a client of over N3 million. He disclosed that the case is still with the police and he can wake it up anyway.
The brother of E-Money further claimed that Ayo Animashaun and Daddy Showkey were his witnesses as they tried playing a mediator between them and were angry at Harrysong’s behavior.
“This is like 8 years or 7 years we went our separate ways but he keeps coming back every year with one thing or the other. I think this year, I told myself I wasn’t going to take that anymore because I have been keeping quiet and I didn’t want to address it. But most people didn’t know what happened between me and him. I have witnesses like Ayo Animashaun and Daddy Showkey, they tried to put us together and they heard about what happened and people were angry with him. I never came out.
Nobody knew he had to forge signatures of me and my brother, with his former manager to take money from one of our clients about N3.something millions, which is in the police right now. If I want to wake up that case tomorrow, I will wake it up. He even has a contract running, 5 years and he went out calling him out saying he wrote my songs.
When I won Star Quest, he was in the village, still fishing with his grandmother and I did four albums, 3 with Kennis Music. I was a superstar already, coming out to discredit me at some point because I gave you umbrella to shine was nothing to write home about”.
In a previous interview, Kcee had shed light on his fallout with Harrysong, revealing that he has an ongoing criminal case with Harrysong, who he alleged had forged his and his billionaire brother, E-Money’s signature to collect money from clients.
He noted how Harrysong is constantly beefing with everybody, from his wife to music executive, Soso Soberekon; and Skibii, and believes Harrysong is sick.
KCee noted how Harrysong always discredited his work claiming to have written all his songs, but he reminded him that before he took him in, he was already singing, and till now, he is still singing yet Harrysong has faded.
Refreshing your memory, last year, Harrysong had called out Kcee over his royalties, calling him a bully.
He appealed to the 5 Star music boss, to refund his money and release his songs and claimed that for over 7 years now, KCee has been collecting 100 percent of his royalties and has taken rights over his songs.
