Nollywood actor and movie producer Kunle Afod is marking his 51st birthday today, October 24th with a self-reflection.
Taking to his Instagram page to share new photos of himself, he revealed that the last one year has been tough and challenging. He said there had been pain and agony behind his smile and laughter, yet he chose to bring joy and happiness to people.
In a message to his creator, he expressed gratitude to Him and returned all glory and honor to Him. He stated that he used his birthday as a point of contact with God and prayed for comfort.

Last year, for his 50th birthday, his colleagues had serenaded him with love. The actor had shared several photos of himself in several traditional outfits, as he expressed gratitude to God for his new age. Kunle Afod stated that 50 wasn’t a joke as he called on his colleagues and fans to celebrate with him.
In June, Afod was left in awe after visiting veteran actor Charles Olumo, who is 101 years old. He revealed that he visited the veteran to check up on him, and was surprised to see him in great spirits, even going as far as jumping. Impressed, Kunle stated that the veteran was still strong and healthy, despite his age, as he prayed that he experience such grace.
Over the past few months, Kunle Afod has won the hearts of many with his constant love and support for Nollywood veterans. In January, he made a passionate appeal to his colleagues over veteran Iya Niwen after he visited her in Ibadan. He expressed his excitement to finally meet her as he appealed to his colleagues to help bring her back on a movie set.
He had also paid a surprise visit to Lere Paimo, also known as Eda Onile Ola, as he expressed how excited he was visiting the veteran’s home for the first time. He had called for help for the veteran, and to his surprise, many Nigerians responded and donated cash gifts to the actor.
