Multiple award-winning Nollywood filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has lost his mother, Omoladun Ayanladun Afolayan, at the age of 81.
Kunle Afolayan shared the saddest news on his Instagram page, including photos of his dear mother at different times. Most of the photos contain moments from her 80th birthday celebration in 2023.
Sharing the news with his fans, the father of four noted that his mother’s demise is hard to accept but her good life is a comfort to them.
While seeking the prayers of all, Afolayan noted that his mother is survived by her children and grandchildren.

Kemi Filani recalls that Kunle Afolayan held a one of a kind 80th birthday party for his mother in 2023.
Before the party, he shared lovely photos of his mother, from her throwbacks at a young age to her meeting with her grandchildren and one of her current pictures.
He eulogised hrr and appreciated God for His goodness and mercies.
