Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has addressed rumours that she is shading her colleague Biola Bayo over her crashed marriage.
Kemi Filani reported last week, Biola announced that she and her husband have been separated since April last year and have decided to co-parent their son maturely and peacefully.
Addressing those who might feel disappointed, she sincerely apologised and expressed her wish that her marriage worked, but it’s best to stay alive to tell the story. Urging her fans to keep them in their prayers, she pointed out the irony at which she goes about making other people happy, but her pillow had been drenched with her own tears almost every night for the past 14 months.
In what seemed like a shady post, Laide had shared a video of her twerking as she noted how everyone will be served breakfast (heartbreak) at different times.
“All of us will eat breakfast. Asiko lo ma ya to. Good morning, people”.
Her post coincided with Biola’s divorce announcement, which led to many dragging her in the comment section.
Addressing them, Laide said she can never shade Biola as she is her sister. Sending prayers, Biola, Laide stated that she was too busy celebrating her daughter’s graduation to know about her divorce.
The mother of three went on to slam trolls for being evil.
“Let us all be guarded, please. It’s still June 5th here in America—California, to be precise. I can never shade my own sister @biolabayo. My prayers are with you. I didn’t get any updates. I was busy with @simlineboss’ graduation. Trolls are evil.”
Similarly, singer, Portable had shaded Biola Bayo, pointing out the irony of her interviewing other people’s wives yet not being in her husband’s house. Mocking her for her unsettled house, he noted how life is filled with drama.
