Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare has made a new revelation about her male colleague, Segun Ogungbe.
Taking to her Instagram page to celebrate the filmmaker on his birthday today, she stated that, unlike others, she doesn’t need to check if he had celebrated or supported her before celebrating her.
Laide stated that since she has known him, he appears to be a good man who will never mean any harm to another. Wishing him a happy birthday, she said a word of prayer for the celebrant.
“For you @segunogungbe_, I don’t have to check if you have ever celebrated or supported me before celebrating you. Honestly ever since I have known you, you just appear to me as a good man who will never mean no harm to another. Wishing you a happy birthday and prosperous years ahead insha Allah”.
Taking to her comment section, Segun Ogungbe expressed gratitude to her for the birthday message.
“O se Alhaja tio common”.
His estranged wife, Omowunmi Ajiboye had earlier penned an unromantic birthday message to him. Taking to her Instagram page, Omowunmi avoided calling him any sweet names as she rained prayers on him.
Surprisingly, Segun took to her comment section to acknowledge her birthday message. Saying Amen to her prayers, he appreciated her for the message.
Recall that in June 2023 it was alleged that Segun Ogungbe and Wunmi Ajibboye, his second wife, had parted ways.
A report from the Instagram gossip platform, Gist Lover alleged that Segun couldn’t fund Wunmi’s lifestyle, hence, why she resulted in having extramarital affairs and has returned to the streets.
Their separation became obvious when Omowunmi buried her mother in grand style and her husband, Segun had no say in the burial and was mostly babysitting their sons.
To make it worse, Ajiboye had penned a lukewarm appreciation message to Segun Ogungbe, following the success of the burial. Rather than calling him sweet names, she described him as Popsy Awon Oba meaning the father of Kings and sir.
Her appreciation note didn’t sit well with many as they noted how she praised MC Oluomo first before her husband and wrote a lengthy caption for him.
Kemi Filani later learned that MC Oluomo was the reason behind their split as he had fully furnished a new house for her, which made her leave her home. Gistlover claimed that Segun had since gone back to his first wife, Atinuke, hence the reason for his lukewarm personality at his mother-in-law’s burial while MC Oluomo took center stage.
