Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare has replied her colleague, Eniola Badmus for shading her over her outfit to her book launch.
Kemi Filani reported that the movie star, who has been teasing her book for almost a year now, had finally released it over the weekend. Laide held a book launch party, where she was seen wearing a white outfit and an orange cape which made her a subject of mockery online.
Taking to her Instagram page to poke fun at her, Eniola questioned which of her colleagues wore Pastor Ajidara’s outfit.
Though she didn’t mention name, there was no doubt that she was referring to Laide as the timing of the post was too coincidental.
Not one to take a shot lightly, Laide Bakare took to her Instagram page to reply her as she noted how Eniola Badmus and some of her colleagues don’t celebrate her when she wins but are always looking out for her mistakes. She stated that the movie star couldn’t hide it anymore as she made her fans know that Eniola was looking for her trouble.
Laide noted how she isn’t a troublemaker she questioned why people love to bully her a lot. She noted how Eniola Badmus has been her childhood friend as they grew up together, and studied at the University of Ibadan at the same time. However, she is assured that God will fight her battle.
“I had to Do this post before some of you got confused about who stated it o you can all see she started it. Hmmm, Na wa o. you will see the good ones and great Achievement, you will ignore! Have you ever congratulated me on any of my successes? CAPITAL NO. And not only you thou, including some of your colleagues in the Yoruba movie sector. Inu ni bini yin ti po ju. You guys can’t even hide it. But Always scanning for my mistakes to nail me. As gentle as I am they must surely come for me first. Because I’m not a Troublemaker honestly. Don’t know why every one of you loves to b-lly Me even this oneself wey be say na my childhood friend in the industry. We grew up together, studied at the University of Ibadan at the same time. Honestly, I’m confused but no problems sha Almighty God will fight my battle. I won’t fight back nor retaliate. So help me God cc @laide.bakarehub”.
The mother of three had earlier reacted to the criticisms she received over her outfit. Speaking out, Laide stated that her outfit was a costume and she was playing along with the script. She made her critics know that she was the one who wrote the script and designed it.
Telling them to open their brains, she questioned how they could know better than her.
In another post, Laide questioned why netizens weren’t talking about her hair, which was 100 percent human hair and worth 1.8 million naira.
The clash between Laide and Eniola is coming as a surprise as days back, the two had linked up at an event in Abuja. Laide couldn’t hide her excitement as she shared photos on her Instagram page. She described Eniola as her once upon a Time friend, while happily stating that she connected with Eniola in Abuja, who she considers a big girl.
