Lanre Gentry, the ex-husband of Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe, is celebrating his wife, Busayo, as she turns a new age today, July 9th, 2025.
Taking to his Instagram page to share a photo of his wife, the businessman described her as his one and only and begged his fans to pray for her. The businessman described his wife as his good friend, sister, and mother and prayed that God protects her always.
He also appreciated her for all she does for him and gushed over her beauty.
“Today is my one and only wife’s birthday. I want everyone to help me pray for her because she is a very good friend, sister, and mother to me, and I pray to God to protect her always for me. Thanks very much, my wife, and happy birthday to you, my beautiful wife, mummy Maya @busayo_gentry”.
For her birthday last year, the entrepreneur penned deep, heartfelt prayers and showered her with encomium. The proud husband said his beloved friend and queen was a dream fulfilled, and she was God’s answer to his prayer. The proud husband expressed how grateful and honoured he was to have Busayo as his wife and partner.
Lanre Gentry tied the knot traditionally with his heartthrob, Oluwabusola, in September 2021 at a very colourful event. The businessman and his wife welcomed their first child, a baby girl, a year after their wedding.
To mark their first anniversary, Lanre shared a photo of himself and his wife, thanking God for upholding their marriage.
The businessman was previously married to Mercy Aigbe, who he shares a son with, but the marriage crashed in 2017 over alleged domestic violence. In 2021, Aigbe had appealed to him to sign the divorce papers.
Last year, while celebrating their son’s birthday, Lanre subtly shaded Mercy as he accused his ex of taking his son away. However, he was satisfied that the boy was growing up to identify him as his father and could come to him for anything without his mother’s interference.
In what seemed like a response to his post, Mercy shared jaw-dropping photos of herself donning a two-piece outfit. She taunted her ex by stating that she has a beauty that never declines.
