The post had followed the controversy surrounding her attendance at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai. Toke had faced criticism for her presence, with many questioning its relevance. Critics argued that her access to the summit was attributed to her connections and nepotism.

Criticizing societal expectations, she highlighted the pressure on women to endure and the tendency to label assertive women as wayward.
