Nollywood actor Adams Kehinde, better known as Lege Miami has called out the founder of Redeemed Christian Church, Pastor Adeboye.
The Yoruba actor, in a video captured online, claimed that a member of his church had begged him for school fees. Lege stated that he had inquired from the member which church he attends, and he said Redeemed.
Following this, the actor is appealing to the clergyman to make his private University freer for his church members. He stated that the money contributed to his church should be used to maintain the school.
He noted how many like him, whom his members are begging, haven’t eaten and admonished him to stop paying workers in his church.
“Pastor Adeboye, good evening, Sir. Lege Miami is my name on social media. I advocate for the youths, and someone contacted me saying he wants to pay his school fees. I asked him which church he was going and he said Redeemed. I know you own a school, and it’s due to the money your church members are contributing. Please don’t be offended. Can’t your church members be going to school for free? And the money being contributed to your church should be used to maintain the school. Daddy, please, some of us that your members are begging haven’t eaten. Those who are working in your church and are collecting money from you should be banned if they can’t work freely for God.
Don’t be offended, sir. Members of Redeem Christian Church, please don’t be offended too”.
Months back, in a video message to Nigerians, Lege made an earnest plea to the public, asking them to stop asking him for money. He stated clearly in the video that he was not connected to any political figure or related to President Tinubu.
The actor expressed his frustration, egging people to stop soliciting money from him and admitted that he was not as affluent as people might think and was, in fact, poor.
In other news, Lege had a public clash with Eniola Badmus after he lamented bitterly over Eniola’s picky nature with men.
The Yoruba actor, in a Live video, claimed that the actress had reached out to him to connect her to a man, and he had obliged. However, the actress had rejected the man he set up for her without any tangible reason. Eniola, who wasnât pleased with him, slammed him, with questions as she hurled insults at her, and Lege also fired back.
This wasnât the first time Lege hadnât been discreet about his matchmaking deal for public figures. Last year, Lege had recounted how the estranged wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Queen Dami, approached him to help her find a man, and when he did, she complained of his work ethic and then went on to date Portable without informing him, and when he confronted her, she denied it. Portable didn’t take his insult slightly, and he slammed the actor, exposing him for his lies and love for begging.
