Apparently, a company had used a drawing of Sabinus’s signature pose in one of their adverts at the peak of his career, and he sued them for millions of Naira and won.

He has gained prominence from his unique comedy, which centers around a character called ‘Investor Sabinus’, who doesn’t always make the right decisions when it comes to money.
