Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold is celebrating the birthday of her friend and colleague, Destiny Etiko.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, Lizzy recalled how she and Destiny separated two years ago because of rumour peddlers. She became lonely and channelled all her energy into her craft. Lizzy admitted that she missed Etiko and would always ponder how she finds it easy to mingle with everyone until she realised it’s her nature.
Lizzy noted that people are still trying to peddle rumours about them, but she has become deãf to them. She stated that everyone is grow,n and nobody has the energy to listen to gossip anymore.
Praising Destiny, she said the actress has a beautiful soul and is one of the few people who understands her. Affirming her love for Etiko, she prayed for her.
“Two years ago, we separated as friends because of too many ‘them say ‘in Nollywood.
I became lonely because I don’t make friends easily like you do.
So I channelled all the energy into my craft but missed you. Sometimes I would watch how you mingle so easily and wonder how you do it, but I realised it’s your nature. Thank God you realised you were deceived and came back to me.
Some people are still trying to resume “them say, “ but trust me, when you start with them say again, we will discuss and laugh over you.
Everyone has grown; nobody has the energy to listen to gossip anymore.
Destiny, you have a beautiful soul and are one of the few people who understand me.

Kemi Filani reported in June, last year, Destiny hinted at a fallout with Lizzy after she unfollowed her on Instagram.
As expected, social media users were divided over the news, with many noting how Destiny loves to fight with her colleagues, while others stated that Lizzy must have done something to the movie star.
Lizzy, however, shut down the rumours as she shared a clip of Destiny Etiko’s movie and urged her fans and followers to watch it and Destiny commented on it, and had later re-followed her.
Further putting the rumours to rest, Lizzy had celebrated Destiny’s birthday. Gushing over her, she called her ‘her love’ and rained prayers on her.
In 2023, Destiny sweetly celebrated Lizzy’s birthday with prayers, and Lizzy Gold responded, appreciating Destiny for the birthday wishes.
However, her birthday message didn’t sit well with many netizens, who called out the Asaba actress for forcing her friendship with Lizzy. One noted how Destiny was only returning the love; Lizzy showered her on her birthday in August.
