The rap beef culture has reached African rappers, and they’re coming in hot.
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie had released a song titled ‘Brag’, in which he threw shade at Nigerian artists, stating that his only competition in the rap game was Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole.
Sarkodie’s lyrics clearly didn’t sit well with Nigerian rapper Dremo, because in less than twenty-four hours, he responded with a diss track, bashing Sarkodie, while using the same beats from ‘Brag’.
Nigerian artists and Ghanaian artists haven’t always had the best of relationships in general terms, but there have been a few collaborations over the years.
Dremo’s diss track seemed to have excited a lot of his fans, as they egged him on in the comment section.
