Mabel Makun, the wife of comedian Ayo Makun has fueled more separation rumours from her husband following her absence at his sister’s wedding.
The Makuns are one of the closest celebrity families in Nigeria and are always supportive of each other’s events. Even their wives, Mabel, Grace and have become close friends over the years. It is hard to see any of them missing out on family events, so it was surprising to see Mabel Makun absent from his sister, Morenike Makun as she tied the knot on Saturday.
Ayo Makun, who was the father of the bride, as always was stylish in his green traditional asoebi alongside his niece, who took the role of his woman at the wedding.
In photos and videos making rounds online, Kemi Filani noticed that Mabel Makun was nowhere in sight as other wives of the Makuns turned up in style. Spotted at the colorful wedding were Lanre Makun, Yomi Casual, Warri Pikin, and Ajebod.
Mabel’s absence at the wedding has further fueled rumors of a split with the comedian.
Kemi Filani reported earlier this year that all doesn’t seem too well between AY and his beautiful wife, Mabel Makun, as the interior designer had hinted at a marital crisis with the cryptic posts she posted online, crying out over threats to life.
In a follow-up post, Mabel revealed that she has been abused mentally and all around for way too long, and has had enough of it.
Kemi Filani dug further into it and noticed that Ayo Makun and his wife had briefly unfollowed each other on Instagram.
This came as a surprise as the couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in November and in December, Ayo sang the praises of Mabel Makun.
Last month, Ayo had penned an unromantic birthday message to her. The actor cum comedian, gave a shout-out to Mabel, tagging her as the mother of his lovely kids. Unlike his previous birthday posts, where he always wrote sweet words for her, this birthday message was without any romantic words.
