Media personality and babymama of singer, Olamide, Maria Okan is starting the year with body positivity and confidence.
The mother of one, who had lacked the confidence to step out in public rocking a bikini, has finally overcome her fear.
Taking to Instagram, Maria revealed that she never had the confidence to wear a bikini in public, because of shyness and lack of confidence.
However, she is changing things in 2023 and regaining her confidence. Sharing a video of her on the beach wearing a bikini, she wrote,
“So today I had the confidence to wear a bikini out in public for the FIRST TIME! Shyness and a lack of body confidence always stopped me. But it’s 2024 and I’m on holiday, so we moveeeee!.
I actually felt free and had so much fun!”.

Last year, Maria Okan, had sparked mixed reactions online as she revealed how she started from scratch when Olamide refused to accept her daughter.
Maria Okan shared a video on Instagram revealing her story of how she started her life and career afresh and relocated to the United Kingdom halfway through her pregnancy.
Maria Okan also disclosed that she is now one of the sought-after presenters in the UK.
She wrote: This is the story of a lady who relocated to the UK from Nigeria pregnant with her 1st child.
Halfway through her pregnancy, she discovered she’d have to raise her child alone.
After having her daughter, she started her career from scratch in UK.
Now she’s the producer and presenter of the 1st ever AFROBEATS NEWS ROUNDUP at BBC1xtra”.
Maria and Olamide relationship
Okan’s pregnancy broke the internet back in 2019 and the buzz was massive.
The MTV Shuga actress had entered into a romantic relationship with Olamide with the belief that he was single and separated from his baby mama.
“Olamide told her he was single that’s why she began a relationship. They loved each other,” the source revealed back in 2019.
However, the love affair began to fade away when Maria found out that the YBNL boss was still with his baby mama and long-time partner.
