Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie is currently facing massive backlash for campaigning for Senator Monday Okpebholo ahead of the Edo State gubernatorial election.
The movie star, whose husband is a politician in Edo State, was seen at a political rally ground in Ward 6 Irruekpen, Esan West LGA, campaigning for Senator Okpebholo, an APC Governorship candidate for Edo State. In a video that made rounds online, Johnson encouraged women to talk to their husbands and children about voting for the candidate.
The video, which has gone viral on the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X, has received criticism from netizens, who are mercilessly dragging her.
