Prince Odi Okojie, the husband of Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson, has stirred reactions as he embarks on massive empowerment in his constituency.
The Edo State House of Representatives member has proved how dedicated and committed he is to his people as he massively empowers them. The politician had supported farmers with produce and vehicles for easy movement, supported students with laptops, donated security vehicles for the police, supported individuals from the Okada association, and supported mobility.
Mercy shared photos of her husband’s public donation on her Instagram story.
His huge donations have divided many. While some praise him for his good deeds, others note how he was gearing up for the next election.

This isn’t the first time Prince Odi has shown love to his people.
In 2022, Prince Okojie kept smiles on the faces of widows. Mercy, via her Instagram page, had shared a video of her and her husband reaching out to the widows and other women in her community, as she expressed gratitude to their sponsors.
The politician also warmed the hearts of Nigerians by gifting a septuagenarian, Elder Francis Uhioh of Amando Quarters, Amendokhian, Uromi, a new house. Sharing photos on his Instagram page, Prince Okojie thanked God for helping them fulfil the promise made to the stranger, whom they had never met.
Recall that during the 2023 House of Representatives election, Mercy stood solidly behind her husband as she rigorously campaigned for him. When he eventually won, the mother of four shared a video of herself and her husband dancing heartily.
Following his victory, Prince Odi praised her for being the true definition of a supportive wife, which led to his political success.
During his Vote of Thanks at his Inauguration Thanksgiving Service, Prince Odi poured praises on Mercy, stating that what she did to support his political ambition was for him and their four children. Complimenting her, he described her as a very selfless, passionate loving, and caring woman.
