Late Nigerian singer, Ileriouluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known by his stage name, Mohbad’s Aunty has cleared the air on reports of his mother abandoning him during his childhood.
Kemi Filani reported that following the death of the singer, reports started making rounds that the singer’s mother abandoned him and his elder sister after her crashed marriage to their father.
Her younger sister, in a video obtained by Instablog9ja, debunked the reports as she recounted how Mohbad’s mother stood by his side, even during his ordeal with Naira Marley.
According to her, the singer’s mother only left him and his elder sister with their father, because he didn’t allow her to take them, but they agreed to take care of them together.
She noted how Mohbad’s mother was there for him during his trials with his former label boss, Naira Marley, and how she stood by him and his wife when they welcomed their son.
Reacting to it, many noted how the mother was present alongside their father, to beg Naira Marley during their dispute.

In an interview with TVC, Mohbad’s mother spoke on her last moment with the singer, revealing that she never told anyone she was his mother because he was afraid she would be kidnapped or killed.
Contrary to report that she never had a relationship with her son, she was close to him and he had bought her a house, shop and even made a promise to her before his untimely death.
She disclosed that the singer lived in fear and never enjoyed his life, and two days before his death, he had begged her to stay with him, but she refused for some reason.
