Omawunmi, the widowed wife of the late singer, Mohbad has finally opened up on the cause of her rift with the singer’s father, Joseph Aloba.
Recall that since the demise of his son, Joseph Aloba has launched several attacks on Omawunmi accusing her of being unfaithful and even putting sleeping pills in his noodles.
He claimed that Wunmi was sleeping with one of the singer’s signees and revealed the major reason why he doesn’t trust her.
Now speaking out, Omawunmi revealed that Mohbad’s father thought she was the mastermind behind the singer’s change of heart towards him.
She disclosed that she and her father-in-law were extremely close until she birth her son, Liam and things turned sour between the two. Omawunmi claimed that Mohbad’s father had asked for their son’s placenta and Mohbad had refused, hence, his hatred for her, as he believes she is the strong force behind him.
“I and my father-in-law were really close, but problem started when Mohbad & I refused to give Liam’s placenta to him”, she said.
Her statement has divided the internet with the majority questioning why he needed their son’s placenta.

Earlier on, Omawunmi had spoken out on her late husband’s ordeal with his former label boss, Naira Marley and how she met the embattled singer.
According to her, things took a downward spiral when Mohbad asked for a change in manager, and ended up receiving threats from them, which made him unstable.
Omawunmi claimed that he left with zero money in his account and recounted how he tried all means to reach out to some artists but they turned him down.
She further disclosed that her husband had begun experiencing discomfort after receiving an injection administered by a nurse, which led to him vomiting.
In her testimony, Omawumi also shed light on a prior altercation that Mohbad had with his friend, Prime Boy, which ultimately played a role in the events leading up to his passing. She revealed that Mohbad had suffered a minor injury during a fight with Prime Boy in Ikorodu on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
