TVC presenter, Morayo Brown has balmed scientists for naming the deadly coronavirus with something similar with the name of the primary school she attended as a kid.
Morayo Brown shared a throwback picture showing her wearing the school uniform of Corona Schools which was very prestigious in the 80s and early 90s.
In celebration of the Alumni of the school, Morayo Brown captioned the picture saying: “At this time, it’s important to stand with my alma mata and write a note to some troubled Corona schools pupils and students. @coronaschoolgbagada_ @coronasecondarysch @coronaschoolstrustcouncil @coronaschoolsalumni
“Our name is currently associated with a deadly virus that have claimed lives. Remember our schools have raised champions that have saved and touched millions of lives! The word Corona means Crown. We were crowned with very sound education that money could buy in Nigeria and we are proud of this legacy. Let no one put you down at this time. I blame the scientists that picked our prestigious name for this horrible virus! You are Kings and Queens! Never forget that”.
