Stella Maris Okafor, wife of the late veteran actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has penned a heartfelt note as she celebrates his posthumous birthday.
On Instagram, Stella Maris shared photos of herself and her late husband with their children.
She reminisced on the beautiful moments they spent together while he was alive. She noted that this was his first birthday without his breath.
Maris recalled how the late actor cherished and loved celebrating his birthdays. She also expressed how dearly she had missed him.
She wrote, “Today is my late husband’s birthday (Mr IBU) This will mark the first birthday without him celebrating with us here.I can’t forget how he used to cherished and celebrate his birthdays… We miss him so much May his soul continue to rest in eternal peace Amen”
Nigerians took to her timeline to console and sympathise with her.

Kemi Filani reported Mr Ibu died in March 2024. His death came after he had battled for his life for months and his legs were amputated.
The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed the news as he revealed he died of Cardiac Arrest. His death threw the industry into mourning as he was a beloved, making many childhoods memorable.
