Controversial Nigerian singer Naira Marley has sent a message to his Muslim brethren.
He carpeted those Muslims who were fasting and still betting on football. In a Ramadan message to them, he told them to go and eat.
“You are fasting and still betting on football? Go and eat please”.

Last week a Magistrate court sitting in Yaba, Lagos, had cleared Naira Marley, his aide Sam Larry, and Prime Boy from the death of Mohbad. The Magistrate said that they had no case to answer as regards the unfortunate demise of the late singer.
Reacting to the news, Naira Marley, via his Twitter and Instagram page, shared verses from the Quran. One of the verses stated that anyone who puts their trust in Allah will be enough for him. Another verse noted how men conspire and plan against others, but Allah is the best planner.
In a follow-up post, Naira had poured out his heart in an emotional note. He noted how he had carried weight, pain, and shame that was never his to bear. He admitted that his label wasn’t perfect, but they never went to war and made peace with Mohbad. Unfortunately, when the singer died, the whole world pointed fingers at him.

Following his death, his former boss, Naira Marley and his aide, Sam Larry lost the admiration of Nigerians when a video of Sam assaulting the late Mohbad surfaced online. The video sparked a flurry of reactions from the online community and led to the cancellation of Naira Marley and his label.
The duo were arrested and kept in police custody for more than five weeks but were released on November 17th after they met their bail conditions. After their release, the singer and his aide engaged in several charitable deeds to win back the hearts of Nigerians.
