Nollywood actor Adams Kehinde, better known as Lege Miami, has come under fire for kicking against the planned protests by Nigerians.
It is no longer news that Nigerians are planning to protest on August 1st against the government and the increasing prices of foodstuff. Reacting to it, Lege Miami, in a video he posted on his Instagram page, admonished Youths in Lagos to step back from the protest as he appealed to them to give the President a chance to fix the country.
He noted how things are very expensive; however, he believes the President can fix it and needs more time with Nigerians. Citing another reason why he is against the protest, he noted how many youths will use the protest to cause havoc to the government.
Taking to the comment section, while some netizens slammed him, others laid heavy curses on him.

Similarly, actress Tonto Dikeh had written a letter to Nigerians against embarking on a protest. She stated that she understands their frustration and concerns regarding the current state of their nation; however, she believes that the approach may not be the most effective method. Tonto suggested establishing a representative group that can meet with the President and advocate on their behalf.
