Netizens are reacting to the first online service of Nollywood actor and failed presidential aspirant, Yul Edochie.
It is no longer news that the actor announced his Ministerial calling weeks back. Making his first move, Yul started a YouTube Ministry where he would be preaching the gospel of Christ.
On Sunday, the movie star held his first church service where he recounted how God called him and the exchanges they had. He revealed that being a Minister of God has always been in him, but he was skeptical of it and thought it wasn’t time.
He disclosed the conversation he had with God, pointing out how he doesn’t have a church or any physical structure to preach the gospel, but God reminded him that he has a huge number of followers on all his social media platforms.
Yul noted how God created us for his purpose and as such, he urged his followers to submit themselves to Him.
“I am a very spiritual person, I believe in God and everything I do is directed by God. I believe in him so much.
Me being a Minister of God as always been there, but I kept feeling like it was not yet time. But the truth is you cannot run away from him. I told God something, you want me to be a Minister, but I need to have a church, a physical structure where I would start my Church, I needed to have a big church and a big congregation. I told him I wasn’t ready because where would I start? And He told me to start from where I am. You have a lot of people who are listening to you, and you have the attention of the whole world, start talking about God. God told me to start talking about Him and said I don’t need to have a big church before I can talk about him”.
Taking to social media, netizens slammed him for making a mockery of God, while others noted how he has become a mess since his ex-wife, May Edochie left him.

A week back, Yul revealed that he was finally ready to accept the call of God by doing God’s work and spreading the true message of God.
The actor announced the launch of his online Ministry, The Salvation Ministry, where he will be preaching the gospel.
This wasn’t a surprise to many as Edochie disclosed last year, that he had a strong calling into Ministry, claiming that he was called a long time ago into ministry, but he felt the time wasn’t right.
Reacting to the criticisms, Yul stated that no one can understand why God chose him, bragging that he isn’t the regular Minister of God.
He had also recounted how God saved his life in 2019 after a ghastly car accident, disclosing that he died after the accident, but God gave him a second life, which He stated would be for his glory and to preach his word.
Also remember that when Yul celebrated his birthday, he poured out his heart to God, and stated that he desired to know Him more.
