Social media is divided over the news of American singer, Rihanna and her boyfriend, ASAP Rocky’s unusual name for their second child.
The couple, who welcomed their second child, a baby boy in early August, according to US entertainment website TMZ, have finally revealed the name for their second son: Riot Rose Mayers.
According to the birth certificate acquired by The Blast who first reported the name of the child, Riot was born on August 1, 2023, at 7.41 am. at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
Keeping with a naming tradition that favors the letter ‘R,’ the couple named their child, Riot. It is believed that his name could be an homage to A$AP Rocky’s recent song Riot, which featured Pharrell Williams.

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky expecting second child
Kemi Filani reported in February that the couple were expecting their second child.
The Fenty CEO, revealed the good news while performing at the Super Bowl Halftime show.
In one of the videos, Rihanna, who was dressed head-to-toe in bright Red, took to the stage to reveal her baby bump. The proud mother-to-be removed her jacket to show off her baby bump.
Her management also confirmed the news, as they told multiple media that the billionaire is expecting baby 2.
The birth of their second child is coming barely a year after they welcomed their first child, Rza Athelston Mayers in May 2022.
