Actor Femi Ogedengbe is not smiling!
In a newly released Youtube video, the former Nigerian actor cum security guard abroad, has spit fire against those criticizing and mocking his new job.
He said “Oh yes! I am now a security guard in the USA and so what ? Well, I have only been doing this for a little more than one year now and I can boldly say without any shame that, what i have achieved in my father’s land being an Actor/director/producer for over (20+)twenty something years is no where compared to being a “Maiguard” for just a year in this blessed foreign Land, It is an unfortunate tragedy of my country, Nigeria and its leaders, and not a thing for me to ashamed of at all. Ask Nkechi, my wife and Children!
How far now. In fact, The Stories about most pan-Africa Leaders like Mandela, kwame Nkruma, Julius Nyerere, Robert Mugabe and a host of the generation after them were all involved in one menial job or the other across western countries to support their Education But today, we can only remember them for being great African leaders and not for the dirty jobs they had to do on their road to greatness, Indeed the End Justifies the means.
A truly hungry man is not in the position to score the quality or sweetness of a meal since near every meal will be delicious in his mouth, So also I may not be in the best position to tell the world the perfect meaning of Success. So kindly indulge me when I make a declaration that, I have been blessed by God and have been Extremely successful in my own definition of that word, if only you all can see things from my point. Yes! If only you know where i am coming from then you will agree that i have truly been blessed, if only you know the odds against me growing up then you will appreciate where i am today, if only you know what i have had to pull through , you will bless God on my behalf, if only you know half of my story you will celebrate me even as a gardener today.
I just want to thank those friends, fans and family who were bold enough to call my attention to the story, also i thank the ones who were too embarrassed on my behalf to discuss it with me, but most of all I want to talk God who has taken me through the valley of the shadow of death and have use all the trials, challenges and life experiences to shape me into that man whose life goal is now to contribute his best to making this world a better place by being the best father to his Children, The best husband to his wife , The best relative to his family Also by being that man who now understands that the beauty of living is in giving, that willingness to reach out to the needy from the little he owns The helping of others when he is at his lowest. In as much as I appreciate the few who don’t even know me personally but understood life enough to stand in my defense in the comment section of all the blogs, sites and so on, I just want us Nigerians, particularly the youth to stand up for our right against this crop of leaders that lacks the leadership qualities
To put a stop to this exodus of our productive youth into foreign countries but have mastered the art of inventing strategies to pitch us against one another on religious, tribal ,political,social and other fronts while they shamelessly continue in raping & looting of our collective good. My advice, Please! Let 2019 be the year to Stop the online wars,battles, the hates speeches and all the none-productive arguments. Lets make 2019 the year of reckoning, to either take our country back or resign to faith as we continue on this free fall into the Bottomless ”SHITHOLE”. Whoever you choose to vote for, let that person not be from this old politicians or puppets from the stables of the likes of ; OBJ,IBB,TY DANJUMA,ABDUL SALAM, ATIKU,TINUBU, BODE JUDGE ,ANENI & ALL THE POLITICAL CABAL As have been the directionless tradition since 1960 Choose a leader from the younger generation that knows exactly whats up in the 21st century style of LEADERSHIP in the political Arena ….God bless Nigeria.”
