Nigerians have been dragging the winner of Big Brother Naija All Stars, Ilebaye Odinaya for seeking funds from their fans.
On the X app Ilebaye tweeted about making donations in the right account because of fraudster trying to use her name to refresh their pockets.
“We’ve received information about fans planning to send gifts or contributions. Please refrain from sending money to any account that isn’t officially posted on Ilebaye’s verified accounts. For gifts, please send an email. The only accessible account is the Baye Tribe account. We won’t be responsible for any misappropriation of funds. Thank you.”
Ilebaye’s tweet did not sit with many who condemned her for seeking support after she carted the grand price of one hundred and twenty million naira (120, 000 000) and other prices.
Recall that Ilebaye became the first housemate to win the Big Brother Naija Stars reality show, beating strong contenders like Mercy Eke, who was the winner of Big Brother Naija season 4 Pepper Dem, and Ceec, the runner up of Double Wahala season 3.
Also, drama has been trailing the victory of Ilebaye at the just concluded Big Brother Naija All Stars show. The twenty two year old winner stirred doubt in the hearts of many who claimed her victory is based on sympathy.
However, lovely reactions from celebrities like Davido, Queen, Uti Nwachukwu, and a host of others poured out for Ilebaye.
Kemi Filani reported that music sensation and Afrobeat superstar Davido took to social media to congratulate Ilebaye on her triumphant win, reminding us all that there’s nothing quite like a success story to celebrate.
He went on Twitter to congratulate saying “Ilebaye…I love a good success story”.
