Nigerian Artist Naira Marley has gained back 100k followers in recent weeks after losing over 500k followers last year.
Recall that last year, following the painful death of Mohbad, netizens had taken to social media to slam Naira Marley and Sam Larry, his aide, for being one of the factors that had led to the unfortunate incident.
A lot of his fans and followers had also denied any allegiance to him as a massive unfollowing spree had followed following the uncovering of some videos.
Also recall that some other musical channels like Soundcity, MTVBase, and others had come out on social media to announce that they did not have any sort of connection with his music and would not play his music anymore.
Following his new addition of 100k followers to his existing Instagram page, netizens could not help but note that the entire ruckus concerning his affiliation with Mohbad’s death has died down and some Nigerians were finally forgiving him a little bit.
Also recall that in October of 2023, Naira Marley had stepped back to Nigeria and had also told netizens and Nigerians in general that he was in the country to aid with the ongoing investigation on Mohbad.
He had also been detained alongside his personal aide Samlarry for some weeks before the police finally released them.
The police released them after carrying out some investigations and coming to the conclusion that they were not directly involved in the event that Mohbad’s death.
