Nigerians have reacted to the news of Burna Boy losing the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album to Angelique Kidjo.
Angelique Kidjo’s won the award last night at the 62nd Grammy Awards ceremony which held last night in Los Angeles.
Her album, Ceila, defeated Burna Boy’s African Giant. This makes her a four time Grammy winner.
Nigerians who had earlier predicted Burna Boy as the winner because of the huge success he had in 2019 were left disappointed at the news of Angelique Kidjo’s win.
However, Angelique Kidjo, while making her acceptance speech, dedicated the award to Burna Boy. See the video below.
