Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has expressed excitement at reuniting with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
The curvy actress shared a video of her and the Ooni on her Instagram page at celebrity designer Seyi Vodi’s 50th birthday party over the weekend. In the clip, NBS, as she is fondly known, is captured walking up to the Ooni as she knelt to greet him, and he responds.
In her caption, Nkechi said linking up with him was always a pleasure. Calling him her daddy, she added that it was good to see him after a long time.

In 2023, Nkechi joined the people of Ife to celebrate the Ooni on his 7th coronation anniversary. She shared a photo of her with the Ooni as she said a word of prayer for him. Expressing gratitude, Nkechi appreciated him for all that he has done for her and many.
Recall that in 2022, NBS caused a stir online after a video of her twerking for the Ooni of Ife made rounds online. The Yoruba actress was at the Ooni’s palace in Ile-Ife town for the Queen Moremi pageantry, where she was captured showing off her twerking skills.
During the heat of Ooni’s series of marriages, Nkechi had applied to be one of his wives. The talented actress said she wanted to be the Ooni’s next wife and would patiently wait for her turn. To show her seriousness, the mother of one provided an Instagram page for the Ooni to reach her through.
Taking the palace by storm, Nkechi told the public to address her as Olori Ibukunoluwa.
