In an Instagram story, Adebanjo urgently appealed for assistance, revealing that their director had fallen victim to a gunshot from Nigerian police personnel. The gravity of the situation became clear as he disclosed their current location at Babcock University Teaching Hospital, speaking on the critical need for help. Adebanjo went on to reveal the seriousnesz of the situation in a dedicated Instagram post, quelling any notion that this was a mere joke and urging everyone to treat it with utmost seriousness.
The distressing incident was further documented in a live video featuring Adebanjo lying in a hospital bed, visibly wounded from the gunshot, and tethered to an oxygen supply.
