The Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi’s alleged lover, Tonya Lawani, has publicly unveiled their daughter’s face.
Tonya Lawani shared photos of herself and her children, including her son and baby girl. The mother of two shared these photos to mark her birthday.
Sharing the photos on Instagram, Tonya wrote, “Grateful for another year of life, celebrated with my precious family. On my birthday, I’m reminded of Psalm 127:3: ” Children are indeed a heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Each moment spent with them is a precious gift from God”
Although the Elegushi monarch is yet to make a claim on the circulated reports of having a child with Tonya Lawani, Kemi Filani recalls that the entrepreneur welcomed a baby girl in 2022.
The Edo-born princess had made the news for being pregnant for Oba Elegushi prior to her child’s arrival, and reliable sources confirmed to Kemi Filani that she birthed her baby girl in the United States.
City Scoop reports that although the monarch was happy that the expectant mum had a safe delivery, it could have been a watershed moment for him if the baby was a boy.
His silence since the birth of the new princess has left some tongues wagging – though sources confirmed that the king had visited the US to see the new daughter.
The birth of the princess may have also changed the Oba Saheed Elegushi’s plans of performing any marital rites on the incoming Olori, City Scoop alleged.
Kemi Filani recalls that Elegushi lost his only son and heir, which his second wife, Queen Hadiza, birthed. The sad news broke on the internet in February 2022, and many across the nation mourned with the king and his family.

The young prince was just one year and seven months old before his unfortunate death. Oba Elegushi married Hadiza, the Kano-born daughter of a renowned politician, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, in May 2020. They had a Nikkai in Abuja.
