Nollywood actor and producer Odunlade Adekola has been criticised for celebrating the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Muyiwa Adejobi, on his new promotion.
Kemi Filani reported early this week that the Nigeria Police Force had announced Adejobi’s elevation from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP). The promotion, approved by the Police Service Commission, underscores DCP Adejobi’s exceptional service, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to the ideals of policing in Nigeria.

Reacting to the news, via his Instagram page, Odunlade congratulated him on his new achievement and prayed for more blessings.
“Congratulations, sir.
As the new DSP @adejobimuyiwa
God will bless you more, sir”.

Odunlade’s congratulatory messages didn’t sit well with his fans and followers, who took to his comment section to slam him.
One mr. gbengene wrote, “Una no see the guy hand in Omoyele Sowore’s detention right? You failed to speak up for injustice because it favours you. No worry, Nigeria will also happen to you
One alexerraranna wrote, “If better problem show for your life, you think this imbecile dùmb cop go rescue you?
One nit970 wrote, “This position shall be a curse and not a blessing because they oppress people and tell lies
One princeshegs001 wrote, “He doesn’t deserve the promotion
One princeshegs001 added, “I’m disappointed in you for applauding illegality
One Temitayoolawalemark wrote, “If I say what’s on my mind, I’m sure this dude will arrest and detain me. So, I waka pass this one”.

Similarly, actor Adeniyi Johnson congratulated Adejobi on his new promotion as he prayed for greater heights.
Last month, Odunlade had announced the demise of his father, Pastor N.A Adekola. The famous Yoruba actor shared a photo of his father, as he told his father to rest well.
Many of his colleagues flooded his comment section with condolence messages.
In a heartfelt post, Odunlade shared a video of people trooping to his father’s house to pay their condolence visit. He appreciated the support of his industry colleagues and his family, friends, communities, churches, and choirs.
