Nigerian comedian, Okey Bakassi has used the marriage of Jay-Z and Beyonce as an example to fellow celebrities who are of the opinion that getting married can make one lose a chunk of one’s fanbase of the opposite sex.
Sharing a picture of US entertainment power couple, Jay-Z and Beyonce, Okey Bakassi revealed how their marriage has not depleted their fan base which has even increased since they tied the knot a long time ago.
Okey Bakassi wrote:

I’ve heard some celebrities say, if you marry you lose some of your fans from the opposite sex. I don’t care if it’s true or not. #justdoyou

In a recent chat, Okey Bakassi, whose wife and kids are based in Canada, admitted that it has not been easy staying away from his family. He said, “The reason I do a tour in Canada is to be close to my wife and kids since they live there. Of course, my family wants me to be with them every day and they always express that. But they also understand that I need to focus on the demands of my job. Do not forget that they come to Nigeria as well; I don’t announce it whenever they visit.”
