Nigerian singer, Omawumi Megbele has finally expressed her position on childbearing.
Since her second child, a boy came of age, many have been expecting the beloved singer to give her two children another sibling.
Hours ago, the award-winning singer, via her Instagram page, shared photos of her with a newborn as she announced that she was the latest aunty in town.
The mother of two expressed gratitude to her Maker for her new blessings as she noted how her name, Omowumi really fits her.
Sending a message to womb watchers, she made them know that she is the latest aunty in town.
Taking to her comment section, while many congratulated her on her new blessings, one fan stylishly questioned if the mother of two wouldn’t have more children.
Identified as Asatta Music, she noted how the singer looked motherly with the baby.
She wrote, “But big sis, this thing fits you too much. See as you carry the pikin for arm”.
Replying to her, Omawumi made it known that she was done having kids as she had hanged the coat of childbearing a long time ago.
“My wife, I don hang coat o! If e like make e fit me die”.
A year back, Omawumi had received an outpour of love and prayers over her blessing, as she shared a collage of photos of her with newborn twins.
To avoid confusing her fans, Omawumi stated that she wasn’t the mother of the kids, as she admitted that as much as she loves kids, she isn’t gearing up to welcome any.
However, media personality, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi prayed for the mother of two to be blessed with twins.
Omawumi wedded her heartthrob, Tosin Yusuf, in a traditional ceremony in her hometown in Warri, Delta State in 2019. The couple share two kids, a boy and a girl.
In an interview, Omawumi said being a baby mama was her choice before her husband decided to walk her down the aisle even though she did not know what influenced his decision. She boldly stated that she was a baby mama for 4 years and she enjoyed it and wasn’t contemplating getting married until they were ready, but to her surprise, her husband popped the question to her and they tied the knot.
The artiste stressed that nobody has the right to question a woman’s decision whether to birth a child outside of marriage adding that the decision to have a child should be borne out of love.
