Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli started the week by remembering her late mother.
Taking to her Instagram page to share a photo of her mother, she listed out the things her mother taught her, which include, love and kindness, treating everyone she comes across with dignity and respect, forgiveness and selflessness, how to work, and how to love God and family.
Omoni hopes that she is making her proud as she affirms her undying love for her.

Who taught me how to not be afraid of work.
WHO taught me to love God and family above all.
I HOPE I’M MAKING YOU PROUD.

Some years back, Omoni had celebrated her late mother with a look-alike photo and revealed how she contributed to her success. The mother of three said she chooses to honor her mother daily because of how she believed in her and knew she was meant for greatness. Omoni Oboli said her mother wasn’t rich, but she taught her everything she knew, especially multiple income streams, and never sitting down folding her hands.
Her mother isn’t the only parent Omoni yearly remembers. In 2022, she triggered the emotions of thousands of her fans after she expressed her regrets over her treatment of her late father. The filmmaker wished she could turn back the hands of time and treat her late father better. The ‘Wives on Strike’ cast blamed herself for not checking up on him daily before his demise. Using herself as an example, she advised her millions of fans to always check up on their parents daily.
Omoni Oboli lost her father in May 2017. He was involved in a ghastly motor accident which claimed his life.
The mum of three buried him in style in June 2017 in his hometown of Mosogar, Delta State. Some of her colleagues, including Chioma Akpotha, Ufuoma McDermott, and Kene Mkparu of FilmHouse were at the ceremony.
Until his death, Chief Matthew Eriyovwe Ukey worked as a Commissioner at the Delta State Civil Service Commission.
