The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi is on a mission to expand his family.
According to words on the street, this October would be a beehive of activities for the Ife Kingdom.
From planning of the grand wedding reception of the monarch to Queen Mariam Anako, to the 48th birthday party of the Ooni and two more weddings.
In September, the Ooni tied the knot with Queen Mariam and welcomed her into his palace. Then, he took the first step to marrying his second wife, Olori Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda in Magodo, Lagos.
One would think, the Ooni would be satisfied with his two wives. But alas, the Monarch is expanding his family.
The Ooni, according to reports online, is set to officially welcome his third wife, Tobi Phillips on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Queen Tobi Phillips,who was once a model, is said to have been dating the Ooni for over six years! A graduate of Marine Science from the University of Lagos, she was tipped to be queen after Oloori Zynab Wuraola left but fate thrust in Prophetess Silekunola Naomi, who also separated from the monarch in December 2021.
The second wife the Ooni is set to pick is Princess Ashley.
The incoming queen sees are marriage to the monarch as a dream come true. Prior to this relationship with the king, she had a 10-year-old daughter with another man. She is a chartered accountant and her passion is also servicing less privileged kids and widows through the Ashley Adegoke Foundation.
Ooni of Ife officially welcomes Queen Mariam
Recall that it was an exciting time for the Ife Kingdom as their King, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi tied the knot in September.
Kemi Filani news reported in July that news filtered that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, had reportedly gotten over his estranged wife, prophetess Naomi Ogunwusi, and was on verge of taking a new wife, Mariam Anako, an Oil and Gas executive.
The rumors had been confirmed as the Ooni officially wedded his new queen.
A video that made rounds, showed the couple at their marital function.
The new Queen already has an Instagram page where she addressed herself as the wife of the Monarch.
Ooni of Ife takes second wife
The Ooni didn’t stop there, he also concluded plans to take another bride as a second wife.
A team of Chiefs from the Palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State, visited the family of another bride-to-be, Dr. Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda, in the Magodo area of Lagos.
According to Leadership, Miss Akinmuda is a Scotland-based Electronic Data Processor and a native of Ondo City in Ondo State.
