The lead pastor of Havesters International Christian Centre, Pastor Bolaji Idowu recently dished out a very important marital advice to couples.
He expressed that the easiest way to destroy your marriage would be to focus on only the negative aspects of your spouse. In his words, he says,
“focus only on the negative aspects of your partner if you want to destroy your marriage.”
He hinted at the fact that people who focused on the negative aspects of their marriage ended up ruining their marriage at the end of the day. He further disclosed that most times your partner might not be perfect but it is still important to consistently focus on their positive aspects instead of just the negatives.
Now recall that back in December of 2023, Pastor Bolaji Idowu had sparked a lot of outrage after he invited singer Spyro to perform in his church. The singer had performed his popular song, “Fine Girl,” and netizens had expressed their shock on social media, especially seeing that Spyro was a worldly singer and his songs do not align with the Christian Church. However, Spyro later came out to express himself and defend the church and the pastor as he stated that he used to be and is still currently a member of Harvester’s church. He expressed that he meant no harm in it.
Also recall that recently Pastor David Ibiyeomie had in a recent sermon stated that if you were serving God with the hope of getting paid for it or receiving a monetary gift then you were not serving God for real. He revealed that you have to serve God with all your mind and your heart without expecting anything in return.
Also, Pastor Adebayo, some days back, had prayed for his congregants. However, while praying over them, he declared unto their lives that they would be the people to help out their colleagues and family members going forward. His declaration sparked a lot of outrage from netizens who believed that his prayer was one that was counterproductive.
