Pastor Felix Adejumo of Agape Christian ministries has publicly honored his wife, Pastor Funke Adejumo after she was recently mocked by Nollywood actress, Victoria Inyama.
Kemi Filani recalls that on Thursday, December 30, 2021, Ms Inyama chided Pastor Funke Adejumo for ‘attacking’ women during her sermons.
Reacting to one of the sermon, Inyama wrote, “Madam Preacher. Almost all your attacks are on Women…..You only talk about what the woman should or should not do always. I can’t even place your husband’s face. Are you home long enough to do all you preach? Because I see you in different countries most times.
“Marriage is a union between two people. There’s no ‘Perfect ‘. I would love to hear your husband preach about you if he ever does.”
And in a swift reaction to Ms Inyama’s post, Pastor Felix Adejumo on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 publicly talked his wife on the pulpit and honored her.
“When we started ministry it was very unpopular to have a woman stand side by side by husband to minister, my wife will stay with minsters in congregation until the holy ghost opened my eyes and I upgraded her to be sitting with me…I told her I will allow her to be because she allowed me to be …I prefer for her to be seen than for me to be seen….” he disclosed on the pulpit.
Speaking further he said “when we were coming to Ondo state in 1987, she followed, nobody here was there, she began to labor with me, when we had only few people using a pick up, my wife will prefer to sit on the spare tire in the pick up so that members can sit in front in the pick up, she will work and work to make sure the church was in order for us to have serve….I owe you this explanation for you to know where we are coming from….She will use her wrappers to make clothes for our children so that we can have and save money…..”
And while he spoke, Pastor Mrs Funke Adejumo shed tears of joy in appreciation. After he was done speaking, she joined him on the altar, kissed and embraced him.
