Popular disc jockey, DJ Cuppy has opened up on her relationship with Kiddwaya. DJ Cuppy spoke during an Instagram live chat with Kidwayya on Wednesday.
Kemi Filani News recalls that the duo sparked dating rumour in 2020 when Kiddwaya sent wishes to the disc jockey during a diary session of the BBNaija reality show.
“The second message goes out to my second favourite girl Cuppy. I know she supports me out there. Thank you for your support. You have always been there for me and always close to my heart. I love you always,” he had said.
Kiddwaya and Cuppy however fell out on the set of Highlife, a British documentary-reality TV show, and it affected their real-life friendship.
DJ Cuppy noted that the platonic relationship between them is “very misunderstood,” because most people believe they hate each other.
“I feel like our friendship is very misunderstood. The fact that people actually think that we have bad feelings towards each other is mad,” DJ Cuppy said.
“Because it’s the opposite, we are super close as friends. I have nothing but respect for you, and I’m really proud of you. I’m so proud of the man that you’re becoming.”
In the course of the unplanned instagram live session, DJ Cuppy lamented that young people were being too superficial, as she revealed that she felt insecure about how people viewed her haircut.
“I feel like as Nigerians and young black people, we need to stop being so on the surface. We are putting ourselves under too much pressure. Even with make-up, lashes, we cannot kill ourselves. Even weight is a thing,” DJ Cuppy asserted.
Kidd said, “Let’s bring back being natural. It is okay to have short hair, short nails. It is okay not to wear heels when going out ”
