Big Brother Naija reality star Pere Egbi has weighed into the allegations against Ugo Nwoke, the husband of Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja.
Kemi Filani reported that a day before her white wedding, a blogger claimed that Sharon was her husband’s fourth wife and that he had three kids from his previous marriage. Netizens had dug into it and had brought up evidence of Sharon Ooja’s husband’s former marriage, alongside the evidence of his divorce in 2019. Following the news, many had dragged the husband for jumping into three marriages within the space of 5 years.
Reacting to it, Pere made it known that Ugo Nwoke has only been married once, as one of his cousins is his friend. He stated that it is funny how people read things, and because they are gullible, they believe it.
He further noted how blogs are always focused on the negative things they carry; any story continues to amaze him. He noted how they don’t care about authenticity.
He reiterated that his cousin confirmed to him that he has only been married once and there is nothing wrong if he remarries.
“Her husband’s cousin is my really good friend in Dallas. It’s funny how people read things, and because they are gullible, they believe it. And how blogs are just so focused on negative things to carry any kind of story amazes me. They don’t care about the authenticity; they just carry it. Her husband’s cousin confirmed the same thing to me. Married once. And there’s nothing wrong with being married once”.
Amid the claims, Sharon still went on to tie the knot to her man, and she took to her Instagram page to gush over him, describing him as her dream man and a gift from God. She had also said a word of prayer for her marriage.
Her best friend, Bisola Aiyeola, slammed the blog for its lies as she stated that the blogger couldn’t dampen Sharon’s peace.
Big Brother Naija reality star Nina Ivy defended her, stating that people can get married multiple times before finding peace of mind. She noted how Sharon and her husband seemed happy together and how he was single before marrying her.
Tonto Dikeh also came to Sharon’s defence, describing the bride as an extremely gorgeous bride who is unproblematic. She stated that anyone who knows Sharon will want to pray for her every day.
Also, Erica Nlewedim, who was unhappy with the news, stated that at this rate, she would announce that she’s married because Nigerians are not people to share good news with.
Meanwhile, Shade Ladipo questioned what time Sharon Ooja’s husband had to get married, divorce in Dec 2022 and get healed before marrying Sharon Ooja in June 2024. Shade went on to pray that Jesus fixes it for her because she believes patterns and people don’t change.
