Big Brother Naija alumnus, Pere Egbi, has opened up on whether past winners of the show (Mercy Eke, Phyna, White Money, Efe, Ilebaye, Laycon) deserved the prize.
He made this statement during a speech on the most recent Celebrity Quickies show.
He claimed to have learned a lot while living in the home, but in all honesty, he indicated that Nigerians are not prepared for a reality show.
He claims that individuals who cast their votes for the winners were narrow-minded.
He said; “My experience in the Big Brother Naija house was a rollercoaster. I had different encounters with different people, experiences that gave me something. Overall, it was good.”
“But if I was asked to go back in the [BBNaija] House again, I would not. Simply because I feel Nigerians are not ready for reality TV. A bunch of Nigerians who actually vote for these guys in these shows in Nigeria, especially, Big Brother, are just one-track minded.”
“I’m being honest, if this was a South African or American show, I don’t think the people who won will”.
Mercy Eke’s exes Ike and Pere link up in new video
Kemi Filani earlier reported that Mercy Eke’s exes Ike Onyema and Pere Egbi recently linked up in a trending video.
In the video shared on social media, Pere and Ike are seen vibing and chilling together. At one point Ike even puts his arms around Pere’s broad shoulders.
In 2019, Ike Onyema and Mercy Eke had met in Big Brother reality TV show, Pepperdem set , and they had soon become a fan-favorite couple thanks to their controversial relationship.
Outside the Big Brother show, they had both continued their relationship and they quickly made it very public and televised. It was so public and televised that they even had a reality TV show to showcase their love.
