This year has seen a break-up among celebrity couples, one of which is Actor, Peter Ijagbemi.
The Yoruba actor, in an interview with colleague, Biola Bayo on her talk show, revealed that his marriage has ended.
He stated that his wife pulled the plug on their marriage because we noticed a change in him and their marriage got to a point where they were having issues back to back.
Peter admitted that though he has his flaws, his wife wasn’t perfect either but because of their kids and the fact that she was a good wife to him, he wouldn’t speak on it.
He stated that they met in 2011, got married in 2016, and broke up in 2022. According to him, his wife always fought him for not flaunting her on social media.
“My wife noticed that I wasn’t myself. She has her own flaws, which I don’t want to talk about because we have kids and the internet doesn’t forget. So no matter what I say about her when the kids grow up and go on YouTube, they will see it. So I don’t want to say anything negative about her, because she was good to me. She has her own flaws, I have my own flaws.
We got to a point where we discovered that it wasn’t going to work, we were having issues back to back. She said she couldn’t cope anymore and wanted to go, and I said, ‘No problem if you want to GO’.
We met in 2011, we got married in 2016, and we went our separate ways in 2022. Nobody can know because I don’t flaunt my woman or my relationship on Instagram. At a point, she was fighting me for not posting her on his page”.
Peter Ijagbemi isn’t the only celebrity whose marriage has hit the rock.
Early this year, his colleague, Wumi Toriola confirmed that her marriage to the father of her son had crashed after barely three years.
The actress while reflecting on 2022, revealed she walked away from a domestic violent and abusive relationship for her sanity’s sake.
Her ex-husband on his part, had something contrary to say, as he claimed that their marriage was filled with violence, deceit, and betrayal on Wumi Toriola’s part, which she denied.
In September, Bolanle Ninalowo shocked many when he announced his separation from his wife, revealing that he had finally accepted the reality of the end of the road. He went on to list out the several efforts he made to ensure his marriage work, which all proved abortive.
To add to it, Davido’s logistics manager who got married last year has parted ways with his wife. Controversial Instagram blogger, Gistlover, claimed that the 02 performing artist and his wife ended their marriage over domestic violence claims.
But Isreal rebuffed claims about assaulting his wife, as he called out his estranged wife and spilled teas about her. The two traded words on Instagram for days.
