Rare photos of veteran Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs, his wife, Joke Silva and their children have surfaced online, days after the actor’s 81st birthday.
The photos which were taken in 2022 when Olu Jacobs clocked 80 got many talking about how beautiful the actor’s family is.

A few days ago, Joke Silva poured out sweet words on Olu Jacobs when he turned 81. The legendary actor clocked 81 on the 11th of July, 2023.
Sharing a photo of Jacobs, Joke Silva rained prayers on him and thanked God, noting they have been celebrating him since May.
“Show boy. Happy birthday dearest as you add plus 1 @_olujacobs God is good… always Sir Js fans have been celebrating his birthday since May. Note…. Today is the official day, 11th July”.
Joke Silva opens up on Olu Jacobs’ health condition
Kemi Filani recalls that Joke Silva opened up on Olu Jacobs’ health condition after disappearing from the movie scene for a few years.
The actress opened up during an interview with Chude Jideonwo that her husband is battling dementia, a degenerative disease affecting the brain.
“He is dealing with issues and it is been going on for a couple of years. It is known as dementia with lewy body, it is a degenerative disease that affects the brain and it is almost like a Parkinson type of disease, it affects the brain and affects the person,…first time i’m saying this publicly….that is what we have been dealing…but the thing is, it is hard on him because he doesn’t understand what is going on and it is hard on us family members as well…we have gone through it over the past couple of years but we thank God….
We have gone through some times and situations recently that I wish i had the old you here so i don’t battle these times on my own but we are grateful for the moment of clarity ….I miss the times we work together!”
