Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner, Ijeoma Otabor popularly known as Phyna has opened up on her break-up with co-star, Groovy.
In a recent interview, Phyna claimed that her relationship with Groovy was all A-game, though, she genuinely liked him.
According to her, initially, the relationship was genuine to her, but when she found out that Groovy was in love with another housemate, Chomzy, she decided to play him.
She further claimed that a discussion she overheard between Groovy and another housemate about how to play her since she was a top contender in the house, made her romantically detach herself from him.
“Initially, originally getting into the relationship it was genuine for me, till I found out that it wasn’t genuine for him.
So when I heard that he wanted some other girl, though I liked him, no cap, when I found out how it was going, I just happened to be smart. Like common I am an Edo girl, I no fit carry last.
I knew it was a game and I am someone that if I need something I can bend so low, so I’m continuing playing my game.
I realized this when I found out that he had another girl he liked and I overheard someone telling him that he should stick with me since I am a top contender in the house, and when he leaves he can pursue the girl he likes”.
Phyna’s confession isn’t surprising, as she had made a similar statement in a previous interview.
Phyna speaks about her break-up with Groovy
In an interview with media personality, Toke Makinwa for her podcast Toke Moments, Phyna revealed that she and Groovy never dated.
According to her, they were only playing games and the game was over since there was already a new show which just ended.
Reacting to it, Groovy shared a meme of Osita Ihema with a âdangerousâ side-eye.
In another post, he shared two laughing emojis.
Though Groovy didnât direct his posts to anyone, many believed that he was dissing Phyna.
Ever the clap back Queen, Phyna took to her Snapchat page where she threw shots at Groovy.
She stated that the deaf can now hear and the dĂčmb can now speak.

Phyna confirmed her single status months back, while she was reacting to the PDA between her co-housemate, Sheggz and Bella.
The reality star made it known that she is single while commenting on Sheggz’s tweet, where he cried out that he needed to take a break and travel to LA.
Reacting to it, his girlfriend, Bella stated that she was packing her bags to join him.
Chipping in, Phyna lamented over her single status. According to her, now she knows what being single feels like.
