Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ housemate, Ijeoma Otabor better known as Phyna has recounted how her controversies and scandals have made her lose 17 brand deals.
Phyna, made this known in an interview with colleague, Doyin on Doyin’s Corner, where she revealed how a brand rejected working with her because they felt she was an abuser. She said this came after the media and blogs accused her of slapping Groovy because he went behind her back to make a deal that was meant to be for both of them.
The reality star stated that the trolling on social media negatively affects her as of now, she has lost 17 brand deals in total between last year and this year.
“Two weeks ago, my manager and I did a calculation of how many deals I lost last year till now. We counted 17 deals. Am aware of a big brand that told me their reason for not working with me is because I am an abuser. They said they can’t work with an abuser, and this was coming that period that bloggers said I slapped someone”.

This year, the reality star has been embroiled in several controversies.
Some months back, Phyna’s father granted an interview with a media outlet, narrating his ordeal with his daughter, who he claimed has abandoned him since winning the show.
He revealed that Phyna had made promises to him, which she failed to fulfill, and hasn’t set eyes on her since winning the show.
Reacting to it, the reality star had called out the media outlet, for tormenting her with texts and calls as she narrated her ordeal with one of its reporters.
In another tweet, Phyna revealed that in the history of dragging, this is the first time, she has cried and it touched her. The Edo-born star who was pained by the interview told the public to give her family her body when she dies so they could eat it.
Recently, a wig vendor had accused Phyna of failure to return a rented wig. Screenshots were shared, which showed Phyna and her team rather attempting to negotiate a lower price with the vendor.
Phyna, addressing the scandal, expressed weariness at being constantly criticized online, describing the accuser as a “clout chaser” and calling for people to do better.
In an Instagram live video, she claimed the woman was blackmailing her, revealing that she doesn’t know the accuser and suggesting that her management team might have handled the transaction without informing her.
Confused about the entire situation, Phyna also revealed she paid for the arrangement while abroad and, upon returning, attended the event with the wig without her management updating her on the return. She stressed her lack of awareness regarding anything that has to do with the wig.
In an update to it, she revealed that the police had invited her for questioning over the issue.
