Controversial Nigerian singer Portable is one to take his troubles everywhere he goes including Canada.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, the street singer had exchanged words with a man at a mall in Canada. Sharing his side of the story, Portable said before he entered the mall, the man had almost run over him with his car all because he refused to promote his business. He said when they entered the mall, he went to do his shopping, and the man walked up to him, demanding he take pictures with every fan that came to him, and he once again refused.
He stated that things escalated from there as the man threatened to slap and beat him. Luckily for him, the security intervened and urged Portable to press charges.
In the clip, Portable made him know that he is a gangster from Nigeria and also a superstar.
“Before we entered the mall, I exited the car, I was walking towards the door and this organizer of the Regina show drove right in front of me and if I didn’t step back he would have hit me all because I didn’t want to go to his restaurant to promote his business and he didn’t pay me for any of that. I didn’t say anything to him. I just wanted to buy some clothes and relax before the show. After we entered the mall, I went shopping with my 𝐃𝐉 @djchelsea.official, and the organizer for the Regina show came up to me and said I have to take pictures with every fan that came up to me. I said you can’t tell me what to do I’m just shopping, enjoying my private life right now and then the organizer threatened to slap me and beat me. My 𝐃𝐉 tried to get him to stop and he yelled at my 𝐃𝐉. Then my 𝐃𝐉 called my Canadian promoter @ajbone1 and AJ told him he can’t speak to an artist this way. Now the organizer shoved and hit my promoter, AJ Bone, while he continued to threaten me, and then he hit me as well!! The security officer saw everything, and they knew I did not start the fight, and I didn’t hit anyone. The other security officers saw the security cameras and they told me to press charges. The police are dealing with this matter”.
Portable since his entrance to the music industry has become well-known for his series of controversies and love for fighting. Last month, Very Dark Man had called for his arrest for allegedly assaulting a man in the toilet at a Felabration event in Lagos.
Reacting to it, Portable, told the activist to ask about him in Abuja as he made him know that online madness was different from real-life madness. The controversial singer called for his fans and supporters to say no to ripping and online bullying.L
Back in September, he had assaulted a Pastor by slapping him. In the video obtained from his live session, Portable was engaging with his fans online when he heard a Pastor preaching outside. The singer immediately went outside to confront the Pastor, and it led to him hitting the preacher. Portable went back inside and kept ranting in Yoruba language, mentioning how he only practices African traditional religion.
In July, Portable, caused a commotion in Lagos as he fought dirty with a bike man, who he accused of stealing his phone. In viral videos, the singer, who wore a yellow hoodie, was captured engaging in a fistfight with the bike man as Lagosians gathered to separate them.
