Controversial Nigerian singer Portable seems to be extending an olive branch to his senior colleague, Davido, hours after he mocked his Odogwu bar.
Kemi Filani reported that Davido had gone on a tirade against a Twitter troll who called out his family for clamouring over the same private jet. During their banter, Davido took a swipe at Portable as he referenced his popular lounge in Ogun State, Odogwu Bar. The famous singer taunting Portable tweeted, “All these Odogwu Bar settings” with laughing emojis.
Responding to him via his Instagram page, Portable, rather than drag Davido, shared a throwback photo of them when they met up in the US last year, and Davido treated him to a lavish dinner.
In his caption, he wrote, “Zazuu zeh, ogo ni mi ni nu UK”.
Recall that in June, a week after Davido treated him to a dinner and gifted a luxury shoe, Portable had blasted him, claiming he gave him bad advice during their linkup. He noted how the music star is signed to Sony Music, yet told him not to sign to the label but should rather sign to Empire and collect advance. He stated that the same Grammy Davido is chasing, he is also chasing it.
Following his draggings, Davido had unfollowed him on Instagram, and this enraged Portable, who stated that if Davido’s rival, Wizkid, had featured him in a song, he wouldn’t be begging the singer.
Speaking on their fallout in an interview, the controversial singer recounted how he canceled a $6k show in the US to meet Davido and he ended up wasting his time. Portable stated that if Davido or others can’t help him, then, they shouldn’t stress him.
Elsewhere in the interview, he revealed that Zlatan was the one who instigated his fight with Davido as they never had issues until Zlatan called the music star. He claimed that he was supposed to be at Davido’s wedding as one of his groomsmen, but the call from Zlatan, who he described as a Devil, changed it all.
