It is an exciting time for fast-rising Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola better known as Portable as he gets recognized globally.
The controversial singer, via his Instagram page, revealed that he had received an award from The United States as the best new act of the year. To add to it, his manager also received the Entertainment Manager of the Year award.
Appreciating the organizers of the award, he stated that receiving such recognition is proof that he is doing something right. He also expressed gratitude to his team and fans as he teased his forthcoming album.
“Few days ago I received an award all the way from the United States of America @aeausa as the best new act of the year and my manager @babyluvgram also received Entertainment Manager of the Year. This means we are doing something right. I’m so thankful to God and my entire team my fans and family, Zazuu all the way.
My album is out soon. Don’t stop supporting my music blessings all the way”.
Months back, Portable had declared himself the new Fela, while celebrating his achievement.
Portable had bagged an Artist of the Year award at the Golden Stars Award and in his caption, he considers himself the new Fela.
Also, the street-singer, had received an award an award from Boomplay after hitting 10 million song streams.
The controversial singer shared a video of him with his award as he jubilated over his newest feat, noting how a person like him who didn’t go to school, keeps soaring higher in life.
He went on to express gratitude to Olamide and Poco Lee for paving the way for him.
Recently, Portable blasted Smooth Productions, the organizers of popular Nigerian music awards, The Headies, after he lost an award.
During a live session with his fans on Instagram, the artiste addressed his beef with the Headies organizers, acknowledging that he is human and not perfect. He added that he has been hurt a lot of times in his life as he blasted the winner of the Next Rated award category.
