Comedian Mandy Uzonitsha has urged Nigerians to form a habit of always praying for herself and colleagues because they go through a lot.
The single mother of one said this in reaction to the death of Ada Ameh and Sola Onayiga who passed on few hours apart.
For Uzonitsha, most Comedians die of depression, despite always doing their best to make others happy.
She wrote: “About Adah Ameh’s death. I just want to say that most comedian know how to mask sadness. That some people are always happy does not mean they are not sad. People take us for granted. They don’t check on us, someone once told me I don’t think you have feelings you are always making us laugh. Most times all I hear is make us laugh, yes make us laugh and off we go cos it’s now second nature.
Pray for a comedian today. Most of us die from depression. Call a comedian/comedienne today just to check on them. Rest on sister.”
Kemi Filani News had earlier reported that Ada Ameh slumped and died in Delta State after she had gone for a brand’s function.
While Sola Onayiga popularly known for her Ireti role in Fuji House of Commotion died after a brief illness on Sunday, July 17.
